Haiku Is He Messiah?

Is He Messiah?

Jesus who died on the Cross

Or should we still wait

 

 

 

You will have a son

Angel visited Mary

In fullness of time

 

 

 

Born of a virgin

From Egypt God called His Son

He’s Galilean

 

 

 

Taught in the temple

A child at the age of twelve

And amazed them all

 

 

 

John the forerunner

Baptized in Jordan River

God called Him His Son

 

 

 

Fasted forty days

Was tempted by the devil

But He never sinned

 

 

 

Called the fishermen

He made them fishers of men

They preached the Gospel

 

 

 

At Cana wedding

He turned water into wine

And amazed them all

 

 

 

Blind receive their sight

Healing the sick and the lamb

And lepers are cleansed

 

 

 

He preached the Good News

To everyone who listened

And He calmed the sea

 

 

 

Two fish and five loaves

Five thousand believers fed

Goodness of His heart

 

 

 

Walked on the water

Brought salvation to the world

Loved little children

 

 

 

Woman to be stoned

Jesus made marks in the sand

Go and sin no more

 

 

 

To show God’s power

He raised Lazarus from the dead

Mary, Martha wept

 

 

 

In shining attire

Joined Moses and Elijah

Transfiguration

 

 

Peter knows He’s God

Washes the disciples’ feet

Last supper with them

 

 

 

Betrayed with a kiss

Willingly went to the Cross

To die for our sins

 

 

 

He spoke not a word

Like a lamb to the Slaughter

He carried His Cross

 

 

 

His feet and hands nailed

None of His bones were broken

And a spear pierced His side

 

 

 

 

Father forgive them

They heard Him cry out to God

He gave up His Ghost

 

 

 

 

Rolled the stone away

Appeared to His disciples

Ascended to God

 

 

 

Received by a cloud

In same fashion He’ll return

My children come home

 

 

 

Knocks on the heart’s door

And grants forgiveness of sin

He still heals the sick

 

 

 

Answer is given

And the Bible holds the key

Read the prophecies

 

 

 

Messiah of God

Jesus fulfills prophecy

He's God's Holy One
