Haiku Mother Earth

Haiku Mother Earth

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Haiku Mother Earth

She sleeps in the sand

On the wave breaking seashores

Waking with the tide

She finds joy up high

On mountain tops with climbers

Thrill of the moment

Way down on the farm

Finds quiet in country life

Laid back and dreaming

She watches the hunt

Survival of the species

Forest of tall trees

She’s there in cities

With the neon lights blinking

It’s a fast pace life

Land under the skies

Mother Earth’s many factors

She is everywhere

Blessed by God above

Created by His own hand

For our enjoyment
