Haiku Fairy Princess

Haiku Fairy Princess

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Haiku Fairy Princess

Deep in forest green

Fairy princess spins her loom

Golden, silken thread

She glitters with gold

Not silver like all the rest

She’s a true princess

King of the fairies

Announces her wedding day

Throughout Fairy Land

He’s made his choice

Princess Leora will wed

Crown Prince of the North

North, south, east and west

Fluttering wings spread the new

A royal wedding

Leora, singing

Her heart now filled with joy

Her dress has been spun

North and South now joined

Chapel wedding bells ringing

Leora and John

Rustling wings are heard

Fairies flutter with delight

On her wedding day

Just one year later

Born to Leora and John

New prince and princess

Pride of Fairy Land

Royal birth brings joyful song

Twins glitter in gold

I love how this flows. I almost feel like it's being whispered to me by a wise elven creature. I really enjoy this!
