Inversed Haiku Giggles

Inversed Haiku Giggles

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Inversed Haiku Giggles

Rainy afternoon giggles

Mud puddle dancing

My children speckled with mud

Children carry mason jars

Lightning bugs twinkle

Many chuckles are in flight

Hear snickering in the crowd

Muddy faced boy

Chasing greased pig in the mud

Snickers hysterically

Laughing hyenas

These are dangerous giggles

Wrapped in grandma’s loving arms

Contented grandchild

Heartwarming giggles I hear

A very sentimental piece. Warms the heart to think about our children playing in mud puddle, chasing lightning bugs and hearing their laughter. Those are three things that will be repeated with every generation of children. Enjpoyed reading this haiku and savoring the memories it invoked
