Haiku Mystery Unbound

Haiku Mystery Unbound

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Haiku Mystery Unbound

Mystery unbound

Seeking evidence you’ll find

Judgment for the crime

Strips away top soil

Erosion of the landscape

Mother Nature cries

In a barren land

No trees or flowers grow here

In this unkempt world

The culprit we know

Cuts down trees and doesn't plant

Raping our planet

Judges gavel cracks

Good, the prosecution's case

We're guilty as charged

 Sentence handed down

Spread the seeds throughout the land

Watch a seedling grow

Not a mystery

Tend the gardens God bestowed

See a world that's green
