Seasons' Wind

Seasons' Wind

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Seasons’ Wind

Springtime feels soft breezes
As flowers are in bloom
Carrying the sweet scent
Through hill and dale
Children romp through parks at play
Swinging and sliding all the day

Summer breezes cool the air
As the sun beats down on all
Hunting for a cooling lake
Or a swimming pool
Sun beats down through the day
By night cooling breezes blow our way

Wind blowing through the trees
Leaves falling all around
Crunching on the ground
Underfoot as children play
Jumping in leaves piled high
Hoping to touch the sky

Winter winds blow hard
With its cold and icy breath
Snowmen stand proudly on the hill
Children carry hats and scarves
A carrot for a chilly nose
Rubber boots cover frozen toes
