Nature's Cinquain

Nature's Cinquain

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Nature’s Cinquain

Grass

Freshly cut

Blades of green

Mowed in row design

Lawn

Flowers

Sweet aroma

Kissed by dew

Symphony in a vase

Flora

Tree

Woody plant

Branches and leaves

Shade from the sun

Maple

Sun

Blazing hot

Heavens effervescent design

Shines high at noonday

Sunburn

Moon

Evening glow

Rules the darkness

Designs of many shapes

Moonlight

Star

Bright point

An astronomical object

Small to the eye

Luminary

Rain

Precipitation  factor

Drizzle sprinkling downpour

Atmosphere’s condensation of moisture

Droplets

Snow

Water frozen

Lacy weave design

Falls to the ground

Blizzard

Dew

Small drops

Droplets at night

Moisture from the air

Dewdrops

Hail

Hardened snow

Pellets of ice

Falling down like rain

Hailstones

River

Moving watercourse

Contains water life

Natural stream of water

Tributary

Waterfall

Rushing water

A vertical stream

Falling over the edge

Cascade
