Will You?

Will You?

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Will You?

A jorio

Will you be mine?

This moonlit night

I’ll spread my wings

For love’s first bite

I’ve been alone

Five hundred years

I need you now

Blood mingled here

So don’t say no

Look through my eyes

Be immortal

Right by my side

We’ll walk the night

Lusting for blood

Sleeping each day

In my coffin

Forever young

Never grow old

Beauty remains

Eternally

Oh please don’t run

Into the night

You’re bride or prey

Choice is yours

So will you be

My vampire bride

This moonlit night

You must decide

LOL....I was reading merrily away and then got to the last line, 3rd stanza and was pulled up with a jolt! Terrific shock value! An excellent jorio...thank you for submitting this to Ivor's contest.
