Twilight's Afterglow

Twilight's Afterglow

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
"

FORM: Ghazal

"

Twilight’s Afterglow

My entire being is set aglow

In the light of Twilight’s afterglow

When the day meets the night

Lovers join hands at Twilight’s afterglow

Sweethearts walk together in fading light

Love brims forth in Twilight’s afterglow

Hearts on fire beneath sun and moon

Exploding in Twilight’s afterglow

A vanishing glow surrounds us

As night beholds Twilight’s afterglow

Moon climbs high sun fades away

In the night of Twilight’s afterglow

Dreams fill my memories now and then

Nancy Lee Shrader recalls Twilight’s afterglow

This is really beautiful! I don't know how you feel about suggestions and advice, but the only thing I disliked was that in the first stanza the end words were "aglow" and "afterglow", both "glow" words. I would change "aglow" to "alight" or "afire" or something like that. But it's just a little thing, me being picky. Beautiful work whether you change it or not.

Wicahpi's right. "Lovely" is the perfect word for this ghazal. Thanks again for joining us!
