Dragon Rider’s Prayer

In the misty woods I kneel and pray
Dragons have become extinct; they say
Oh will the gods bring back the day
A vision in the sky, I see when I lay

Dragons have become extinct; they say
World of dragons have faded away

Vision in the sky, I see when I lay

Everyone, but me goes their merry way

World of dragons have faded away

Pawns of the vengeful ancient gods’ wrath

Everyone, but me have gone their merry way
I alone have done the math

Pawns of the vengeful ancient god’s wrath
Hearts ablaze die on dragon scales that fell

I alone have done the math
Lone dragon rider whispers farewell

Hearts ablaze die on dragon scales that fell

Oh will the gods bring back the day

Lone dragon rider whispers farewell

In the misty woods, I kneel and pray

Oh very nice, Nancy.

"Pawns of the vengeful ancient god’s wrath
Hearts ablaze die on dragon scales that fell
I alone have done the math
Lone dragon rider whispers farewell"

Don't know why, but I really like that stanza.

Excellent pantoum, that's for entering the challenge.
