Misty Woods

Misty Woods

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Misty Woods

In the misty woods I’m praying

Willows swaying

Cool the breezes

Monkey sneezes

Snake wraps around the old oak tree

I’m on one knee

Ready to run

Click from a gun

If there’s one snake, there are two more

On forest floor

Woodsman’s shotgun

No need to run

A nice poem. It was lucky to have a hunter near. I like the short poem. It was a pleasure to read. A very good poem.
