God’s Protection

 

 

Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den

Like house cats, not the eater of men

Mouths were closed by God on His throne

Into the lions’ den Daniel was thrown

 

 

Daniel spent the long night without fear

Even though all those lions were near

He was bathed in heavens holy light

Without fear, Daniel spent the long night

 

 

Nothing is impossible, when God mans the helm

God sent protection down from His heavenly realm

With faith God makes the impossible possible

When God mans the helm, nothing is impossible

 

 

Daniel’s faith saw him through, awakened to a new dawn

Because all through the night all the lions did was yawn

Almighty God made sure those lions were unable to chew

Awakened to a new dawn, Daniel’s faith saw through

 

 

We find faith is the key, through this life as our feet trod

Safely cradled in the strong arms of All Mighty God

Like Daniel all must fall down in prayer on bended knee

Through this life as our feet trod, we find faith is the key

 

 

In the fullness of time God’s pure light was sent down to earth

On that first Christmas night shepherds witnessed His birth

Like Daniel, we will all know God’s protecting love so sublime
