A General Kind of Sadness

A General Kind of Sadness

A Poem by N.A.

Dirt gathers

and blows away

and it changes so much

it starts to all look the same

No hand sticks out

farther than the other

It starts to all feel the same

There are no new colors

My head starts to hurt

at the clicks and pops

It noisily despises

every independent thought

I used to miss him

Like a person should

Now I just

Wish that I could

I was always more bored

than lonesome

More numb

than depressed

Rocks break down

so slowly every day

So self involved

can’t notice the change

Clouds don’t run

they inch their way

That’s how they’re gone

the next day

And

You’ll be gone

the next day

You wont need

my pity

You’ll be gone

the next day

I’m already

forgetting

You’ll be gone

the next day and

All that’s left

is this general kind of sadness

Not sure what else to say
