Your Color

Your Color

A Poem by Addict With a Pen
"

When you throw your head back laughing, It’s the color...

"

When you throw your head back laughing

It’s the flush of color that paints your cheeks

The color that surrounds young love

And flourishes in spring time boutiques

It’s the desirable color that flavors your lips

And makes them taste so sweet

And when the morning sun retreats

It’s the daytime’s bittersweet goodbye

As the colored clouds fill the canvas

And a pink so beautiful takes the sky

You really limn what she looks like and at the same time what she is like, nicely done. Beautiful imagery, feeling and the title weaves the theme. :)

I love this! So refreshing, light, and lyrical. The last two lines are my favorite.
