Occupied

Occupied

A Poem by Natasha Ashway

From the second I saw you you've lived inside me

I'm falling, there is no end

No song can sing what you mean to me

No words can breathe you in

I've overdosed on everything you are

Tumbling in fields, rolling in valleys

Of thought and touch

Boiling hot

In my blood, on my skin; you're my dream

Everything in my world is about you.

There is a real intensity in this piece, intertwined with a sense of longing and desire that alludes to many possibilities, yet allows the reader take from it what they desire. Well done.
