Saves Me

Saves Me

A Poem by Natasha Ashway
"

A simple philosophy for life.

"

I trust the night
I trust the stars that shine

I trust the moon
I know its love’s divine

I trust the wind
I trust its winding ways

I trust the sky
I know its separate days
I trust the dawn
I trust its rising light
I trust the sun
I know its blinding sight
I trust the clouds
I trust the crimson waves
I trust the things I love
I know that this trust saves
Me.

Thanks for the rolling rhythmic reminder!

It amounts to an incantation to trusting Life itself.

And synchronicitously, I got a message that helped clarify an issue of trust, just before I read your spiritually valuable poem.

I've been noting a kind of poem on WC that has this heart-healing universality -- I call 'em poster poems, because of the truth-reminder value. This is another fine one of that ilk, with image of your choice. And I love your montage-like choice of "trust" referents.

Excellent work!

Gives a feeling of naivety and strength at the same time. Rare and brilliant.

Trust is a powerful vibration. But when broken...it shakes our very core.

Mantra-esque in its quality.

Oh I love the simplicity in this piece, yet it houses such a profound meaning. Very nice. Might I add -- I do concur. Trust in the universe and thou shalt flourish.

Fear and thou shalt wither.

Inspiring write - well done! Thank you :)
