It’ll be forever if you take it,
But you’ll plummet to the ground.
And trees will Reveal their essence of life,
So the branches will die …
And soon you’ll see the depth of the water ,
That has me cold…dark …alive .
I saw the light of the darkness ,
And just once the wind whispered to me,
“The stormy waves quell all tears,
And the people will march away;
Life will be found in warm suns,
And glazed hearts on broken stones.
Love is cruel , this much I know…”
But I take no heed of her words,
Knowing pain and pain and pain ,
Like the tears of the sawn in the dead of winter ,
I’ll cry and cry and cry .
And the wind whispers once more,
But I refuse to hear it.
Her advice unneeded ,
Love unwanted .
She speaks of the cruelty of love ;
And her brother, of the beauty of pain .
I don’t need to hear .
All I want to do is fall away ,
Ride on the back of a frog.
All I want to see is the great wonder ,
Of the Pen and Paper of the god.
All I want to be is everything I need to be but I can’t stop the wind...
Or her brother…
Or their whispers…
Or their lies…
Or their truths…
Or their malice…
Or their love.
So I will let go…submit to the whispers …
And fade away into the night.
