Through the Fumes

Through the Fumes

A Poem by Navara-Desen
"

One step and she goes back, back to a time where all people thought about was war, and her home meant death

"

One step over the line

Brings me straight to the past

To a place of pain and torment

Where people prayed to die fast

The decaying bodies and dried blood

Is all there was to fill the rooms

Screams of pain and last breaths

Heard throughout the poisonous fumes

No one left to shed a tear

They disappeared when the whips appeared

When they were burned, and scarred all over

And everywhere blood was smeared

Just one word and I’m there

Living through that very hell

Where living was torture

And death was dying in a gas-filled cell

There the decaying bodies and dried blood

Was all there was to fill the rooms

Screams of pains and last breaths

Was all you would hear through the fumes

Author's Note

Navara-Desen
well it is a rather dark poem that i wrote when i started learning about WW2. i know all the information in there might not be completely true but i tried as hard as i could. If its not direct its in a place where it was pretty much like the contraindication camps in WW2. Thanks for reading. ^-^
