Small Seed

Small Seed

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom

I was just a stunted seed
But you were just what I need
I thought I'd never make it
That I'd never grow
You taught me not to wait
Because I'd never know
You watered me and put me in the sun
You taught me failure meant I had won
I was scared of everything
You taught me I had courage
You held me under your wing
You turned me a new page
Things were so dim before
But you lit a flame in my core
You told me it would be okay
Things aren't so bad
Look forward to the day
When you're not as sad
I thought I was a seed who'd never flourish
But you came and granted my wish
You taught a sad flower
To face the light
You taught me power
You gave me sight
