Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by bella
"

Letter to myself and anyone who needs it

"
My dear,
Today you might have been too depressed to leave bed
And you may have doubts and fears for tomorrow
But don't you dare lose sight of the hopes and dreams your worries are hiding.

My love,
Today might have been a hurricane
And yes rain may be in the forecast the rest of your days
Because life is a storm
But tomorrow you'll dance in the rain
Find joy despite the darkness surrounding you
Warmth in the rays of sunshine that seem to make it through.

My sweet,
Today your eyes may have been the color of sadness
But tomorrow your eyes may be grey
And you'll look at yourself and cry
Cry tears of joy
Because your eyes are the same eyes your grandfather had
And his eyes were kinder than anyone's soul.

Honey,
Today you might've cried
But tomorrow your baby might cry his first tear
And god forbid you aren't there
To hold him and wipe it from his soft cheeks.

You may not think life will implode without you
But the universe keeps you on earth for a reason
And you, my love, are no disappointment.

Love,
Yourself

I agree dear Bella.
"You may not think life will implode without you
But the universe keeps you on earth for a reason
And you, my love, are no disappointment. "
The above lines. Wise and true wisdom. Thank you for sharing the hopeful and outstanding poetry.

Thank you!
Conceptually very compassionate, and stylistically good separation on stanzas. A nice poem for a struggling person. Thematic but not repetitive. Good work! I liked he loving words you used toward yourself. Lots of self-care going on here.

I've never been told that but I know I write some sad s**t so I figured I'd mix it up
I really enjoyed this, especially the part about rain. Rain is one of my favorite things. Without it we wouldn't appreciate sunshine to its full extent. The same goes for happiness and sadness. Sadness brings true appreciation for joy. Thanks for sharing!

i like how you reinforce the tenderness, my dear, my love, honey...the little intimacy fighting off the monster of depression.

Very life affirming and tender.

There is always one person who has your back in all the situations of life, yourself. There should be no one more important than you in your life. And to be honest, only you will know how to make yourself better. Hang in there, you can make it
