What has caused you to bring me here?
What have I done to you to cause this fear?

Not everything is always as it seems

This is a poem directed to me dreams

 

I close my eyes to witness nothing more

Than the place in time which I did adore

You pull me in and bring me great joy

But my mind is what you wish to destroy

 

So you throw smiles and laughter my way

You make me feel taller than any other day

To a place where everything makes sense

My heart will be the ultimate expense

 

You pull me closer so I can feel a new reality

In these moments with you I finally feel free

Around your arms I will be wrapped

But once again you have me trapped

 

Into your world of lies and deceit

My enemy I will one-day greet

When I wake everything will cease

I will no longer have my sense of peace

 

You draw me in just to hurt me again

At times you are neither for or friend

You are the devil in disguise

Every dream is a new surprise

 

So breathe in my pain and love

May you never rise above

Because when I wake up you die

My life is your ultimate demise
