Martin Van Buren is number 8.
He was only elected once as chief of state.
I guess being president was not his fate.
So lets learn about Martin Van Buren so don't be late.
Martin Van Buren was the first President to be born an American Citizen.
Everyone before him was born under the British.
He was the first president of Dutch decent.
Martin Van Buren was founder of the two party system.
Martin Van Buren married a woman named Hannah.
He lost her only 12 years later.
Leaving him with 4 sons to raise by himself.
Martin Van Buren wrote a biography which he never mentions his wife once.
Martin Van Buren's policies were not popular.
He was a part of the Panic of 1837.
Banks failed, businesses closed, tens of thousands out of jobs.
He didn't win this second term as president.
Martin Van Buren was related to Theodore Roosevelt. 
He had two tiger cubs as pets.
He was a supporter of Andrew Jackson.
Martin Van Buren retired to Kinderhook.
So this is Martin Van Buren.
President number 8.
He was said to be pleasant, smooth, personable.
However, his didn't help him to stay as president.

Good enough reason! :)
I remember learning about this guy in 8th grade. He was one of the few presidents that stuck out to me. In no way shape or form did it have to do with his leadership, or political views. It was those two giant fuzz balls he had growing out of his face.

Anyways, I never knew he had two tiger cubs as pets, that's really cool. Thanks for teaching me something new. :)

Martin Van Buren took office at a bad time. Similar to today. Take time to fix most problems. I like the description of this President. He was alright with me.
