James Carter (President #39) (1977-1981)

A Chapter by MandaBear
"

Thirty Ninth President of the United States of America

"
James Carter(Jimmy Carter) is number 39.
His family business was peanuts. (I hope they didn't have an elephant)
He was a Peanut farmer. (He liked nuts) *not those kind, dirty;)
His mother was a nurse. I hope they didn't have a nut allergy.

Jimmy Carter has become one of the most active ex presidents in US history.
He won a Nobel Prize for work outside the office.
He is also a published author.
He and his wife are the second longest married presidential couple in U.S. history.

Jimmy Cater established 55 mph speed limit on interstate highway system.
He was the first president to be born in a hospital.
He was a speed reader he could read 200 words a minute.
He was the first president whose mother was send on a diplomatic mission. (Now that is a way to get rid of your mother for awhile I wonder if he tried that with his mother in law?)

Jimmy Cater has been the only president to be interviewed by Playboy magazine.
How many of you really read it for the articles? dont lie!
He was the first president to be from the deep south. (No that is not a joke related to the previous statements)
He entered the US Navy. He had a submarine named after him.

This is Jimmy Cater number 39.
He was one smart cookie.
I guess the statement is true:
A peanut in the hand is worth two in the bush ;)

He was a smart cookie and still is. He did a lot for the poor and had concern to create peace and hope. He is one of my favorite Presidents. Thank you for the description of a good man.
