Yard Sale

Yard Sale

A Poem by MandaBear
"

Just something I wrote today while at a yard sale I was helping with! Enjoy!

"
Summer breeze in the middle of spring
Birds tweeting and bugs flying in the air
Sun blazing in the early morning hours
People driving by without a care in the world

Burning in the hot sun just waiting and waiting
Hoping some people come by and look at things here
Bored out of my mind just waiting, wishing and hoping

Listening to music and writing to pass the time
Music player on random never know what song will be next
Sweating here in the sun probably getting sun burned ouch!
Sitting here just waiting at the yard sale

The music can only entertain me for so long
Playing the waiting game is hard to do
Oh, wait what is this a customer perhaps?
Why, yes it is! Finally!

They look around and inspect the stuff
Say thank you and go on their merry way
Leaving me to wait again for the next person
Sitting here at the yard sale waiting.

Nice description of a summer day. Did you make money with your yard sale? Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You make boredom sound interesting. I love how you get inside the character's head and describe the dynamic's of what they're feeling, well done!

I never liked yard sells. Well being the one to play shopkeeper that is. You sound bites during it.

This is really an amusing, well-written poem. Loved it and I hope you had more luck with other customers! :)
