Breaking up is so easy to do

Just something I came up with while listening to random music. Hope you enjoy!

Breaking your heart tearing it in two

Leaving you to pick up the pieces 

Shattered, broken and alone 

In a darkness darker than the deepest black 

Questioning why this could have happened

How you got to the point of breaking up 

What could have gone wrong?

Was the relationship just a sham from the start?

Breaking up is so easy to do 

Saying we are finished and being over 

Easier than saying I love you 

Easier way to get out of trying to fix the problem

Moving on seems easy you would imagine 

Leaving the memories for the wind to catch 

Erasing the person from your mind 

No trace of feelings to be found 

Falling so hard you hit the ground running

Flying so high you leave the sky behind 

Why is love so hard to do?

When breaking up is so easy

"Why is love so hard to do?" I think of a line someone I can barely recall used to say, "If it was easy E'RYBODY could do it!"
The ending completed this perfectly...point made effectively,
