He Inspires Me

This is for a great friend. He makes writing fun for me. He is an inspiration and I want to thank him for being mine. Even if he doesn't know he's doing it

Dear poet, 

You inspire me more than you know 

From your writings to our chats 

You make writing so much fun 

You inspire me to be better 

Any time I am feeling down you always have encouraging things to say 

You always put a smile on my face

You inspire me to try new things 

Things I wouldn't think I could write about 

You inspire me by just being there 

Sometimes you just need a shoulder 

You are always there when I need you 

You inspire me to be fearless 

Without you my dear poet 

Inspiration would be a fleeting dream 

Without you my world would be very black and white

You inspire me to see all the colors of the world 

Thank you for being my muse 

Thank you for being there for me 

Thank you for being you 

Thank you for inspiring me to write

A beautiful tribute to your "Muse" whomever they may be!

One little thing....the first sentence in the second stanza could be shortened. Cut it off at "have" and put the remainder of the words into another line. I think it would look neater that way. It's entirely up to you!
