Baltimore, Oh Baltimore

Baltimore, Oh Baltimore

A Poem by MandaBear
"

My fair city is being torn apart

"

Baltimore, Oh Baltimore how I love thee
But now our fair city is being destroyed
Fires set and places looted
When will this end?
This is my home and you are breaking it apart
Do you think that this will get you anywhere?
This is not about race or justice
This is pure madness and destruction
Baltimore, Oh Baltimore reduced to rubble
People causing toil and trouble
Do they think they will get respect?
Do they think this will change anything?
Destroying something so many people fought for
A long history of men and women's hard work all for nothing
When will this end?
Does someone have to die for them to be satisfied?
Baltimore, Oh Baltimore I pray for thee
We need to make a change
We need to come together
Baltimore doesn't deserve to be destroyed

Yeah true. Oh well right

oh well right.
I like the structure of your composition... and the message. Brilliantly reasoned with sublime imagery.
