The Vortex (Tanka #60)

The Vortex (Tanka #60)

A Poem by MandaBear
"

Just a late night thought

"

The Vortex of black mass
Lost in a land of no time
Falling and falling
A never ending dark hole
Forever caught in a swirl

Yes, the late night thoughts... I'm a horrible drawer at night, but I can get the coolest writing ideas when I'm alone in the dark with my thoughts. I love the crypticness and darkness of a world where time does not pass. This poem shows how eternity is somewhat of a frightening concept, but still interesting to think about. Great job!

I can relate to this piece in a way. I'll often write poems like this late at night (when I can't sleep). Though I didn't fully understand this piece, I could feel an underlying sense of melancholy and hopelessness in this. This piece created a lot of emotion for just five lines. Well done.
