Once a upon a odyssey

Once a upon a odyssey

A Poem by MandaBear
"

Just something i came up with :)

"
A women's beauty has a profound impact.
An impact that causes a war between empires.
One man's heart and one man's honor.
Two fates become one.

A place out of time.
Under a siege of war.
A place comes together,
Warriors get ready for an epic clash.

One rich from trade,
One rich from taxing trade.
They take their swords to each others throats.
Blood flying everywhere.

No man willing to give up his power.
They fight until the very end,
For the blood shed never stops
They fight for every last drop.

So this was my tale of a battle now won.
The fight for Helen of Sparta;
The fight for Helen of Troy.
The memories that can't be destroyed.

Great poem ! I like the way it's turned out, a bit "modern" in the language but also really relating to the past ! Well done !

Greek? When I read this I thought about those Summer Eve's commercials. I'm talking about the one they say, "Hail to the V" Random, I know. Well this comes from the fact I thought about how lust and love drives people. No more babbling, I swear.
