1942

1942

A Poem by MandaBear
"

just something i came up with while watching a DVD about the holocaust. I guess this was a way for me to vent. Tell me what you think :)

"
Souls lost in time
Not much they can call mine
Freedom taken, Speech silenced, cries heard.
They are forgotten in war, lost in translation

One mans decision affects millions
Tens of thousands of pleas
Hundreds of screams
Yet, soon will be dead silence

Men, Women, and children
made to suffer because they were different
Objectified  because of a selfish act
The bodies begin to stack

So many souls, yet not forgotten
The world knows what you did
And you will never be forgiven

Moans of the once living
Will be the most unforgiving
Evidence is every where
You can't hide anymore

The more you try to hide it
The more you look guilty
Some of you have no remorse
All your dirty deeds have ran their course

Those eyes, Those tears, Those lost years

11 Million voices unheard
6 million were caught in the serge
One mans desire for a perfect race
Thought it be best for Jews to be erased
And for Germans to fill their space

The commander of the third Reich
Took command of the worlds mike
He said "We must get rid of the Jews"
We say unto you...

"You should have been sacrificed to the fire
for all the devastation and ruin,
Because the final solution should have been your undoing"

Any shock that was the first bit of music to strike my mind? Than again, i felt boots marching on cobble stone while reading.

Not so powerful like some of your previous poems. And please don't forget apostrophe.

This is a spectacular poem and speaks the truth. The war is pointless and many people die because of it. Thank you for sharing this brilliant poem.
