Death Dreamer

 Death dreamer why are you here?

it’s because of you I’m an insomniac

why must you create these fears?

smash open the stupid dream catcher

 

 

death dreamer are you there?

 I had another nightmare

pull the covers over you head

cover your ears so the spiders can’t enter

whilst you dream of your being dead

these scary images haven’t been fed

that’s why they hunt me and haunt me

stoke me and taunt me

my eyes have gone gaunt

from the things I’ve seen

 

 

I will fall head first into a dream

that isn’t  mine

who can define

for me

what these things mean

and lead me to know

let it show

 me to these meanings

and the hood of yours Oh deathdreamer

 and your glazed over eyes

have the seeming of a demon that is dreaming

and the reflection of his gleaming

 

 

 

smile 

evil and nasty 

shall shine upon my door

as the deathdreamer shall haunt me 

and my dreaming for

 ever 

evermore

spin me a dream

connect a web from my memmories

play a sad song

replay my records

 

 

 

correct all my wrongs

show me the bizarre

with your death tuned up guitar

like a monster in a fairy tale

snatch up my body

rack my brain

mumble your magic spell

inject me with needles put me to sleep

lay the blanket down warm as hell

 

 

 

let me sink deep

into the the springs of my bed

lift me up

dreamer of the dead

into the nightmares once again

I will never return

 the surface I shall forever descend

Death Dreamer is a great title and a great poem. Not only do I like the topic, but I happen to like the funny little way you change the font up in certain lines.

very nice, quite lyrical
it has some rough spots, but overall very well done
