Gotta do a lot of soul searching
Get over the fact that I'm yearnin'
For what I can never attain
Hard to feel loved when you show your disdain
I'm a stain on your tidy little life
My ugly reality can only cause you strife
Maybe I should take my own advice:
Stop falling for a n***a that will never see the light

To love and not loved in return makes it a challenge to Chanel our grievances through writings or expressions.
Such is the case of the speaker in this poem.
She reaches a point of decision making to be herself than loving someone not needed.
