Inherently Flawed

Inherently Flawed

A Poem by Fanicia E.
"

I've been isolating myself, not answering calls, my family's upset but they don't understand that i'm flawed

"
My family mad when they call I don't answer

Depression consuming my mind like a cancer

They quick to condemn but don't know my life's anthem

A soon to be swan song happiness needs a ransom

Persistent pervasive  it won't let me go

Can't help but feel lonely when you're the only one who knows

The despondence that permeates every crevice of the mind

We all have our reasons life's too unkind

You're welcome.
Very well chosen rhymes. The poem flows perfectly. I can relate to the subject of depression because I've been through it myself. A very touching poem. I love the spoken word vibe in the language.

Free verse often frees the mind of a billion concerns, flaws, sadnesses.. etc.. You've expressed what you need to - maybe feel better, same, hopefully not worse. Fanicia, your writing is powerful... you could write a novel and fly!
