This is the best self-portrait I've read becuz of the self-honesty, which is rare. Most people will paint the portrait that they wish to be, or how they are thinking they are perceived by others (hopefully). I feel that showing the ugly parts without apology, as your basic acknowledgement that we ALL have ugly parts & these shouldn't be disguised or hidden -- it's all part of the awesome tapestry of being human. We give other people permission to be more self-honest when you present yourself as in this piece. Becuz your actual writing is a little jaggedy (not smoothly edited), the poem itself becomes an illustration of the dissatisfaction that comes thru, of how your true self-portrait has some rough spots. To me, self-honesty is the most important building block of having something significant to say in writing. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

An honest self image. A reflection of the multifaceted life style of people out there whose character/attitude weavers. You're imagery painted the picture of character instability & emotional turbulence. It's a great write. I love it!
