Softly, Sweetly...

 

The sweet princess of the stars of my skies

My pale moon that glows my way

Through the darkness that does not bind me

Your velvet skies fall dreamily upon me

Your eyes like worlds of jewels and seas

This sighing laugh that gently beckons

To a heaven that lies not above

But within the warmth that resides inside you

My heart will be unbounded by you

My will be as strong and true

My journey, long, but growing shorter

All the quicker i will return to you

I have wandered alone amongst the skies

My heart was weary and blind with doubt

Until your beacon shined down upon me

Made my soul sing out and shout

Those lips are magic and full of meaning

Your gentle features I would explore

And spend my days in vast amazement

In all those things I now behold

What gentle goddess or angel comes here

And graces me in times of night?

Only you, my sweetness, comes ever closer

Brings me back into your light

 

 

You are my end and my beginning

You are the one that I hold dear

You are the one who never leaves me

You are the one that I hold near

Softly, sweetly, you now hold me

In my heart, you will remain

And when times comes that I may find you

I know I shall never lose you again....
