A Poem by James Takeo Panton

Masterless, I roam and wander

Seek out fate that destiny provides me
Serving only that is my choice
Speaking out now only with my own voice
I shall be shunned and thought to plunder
And live each day in the moment
And see the beauty that is all around me
For in a moment, it may be gone
For each living breath shall make me strong
I will not march to anyone’s order
I only take the path I wander
In search of my fortune as yet unfound
When my time has come to pass
And the weapons I wield I may lay to rest
I shall be as blossom that has come to ripen
And slowly wilt and fade away
I will have no fear of death or suffering
That I had lived for each perfect minute
As I am now, so shall I be gone

Very romantic portrait of a lover/warrior- his identity and honour flows from these words
