Mirage - An ode to Psychedelism

Mirage - An ode to Psychedelism

A Poem by nishantshah2381
"

This is about hallucination and personal experiences combined

"
In quiescence of delusions,
traveled down many memory lanes.
Many mirages unfolded,
an enstranged callow soul,
fiddling with his small fingers,
nestled to sweet lullaby,
in the warmth of her lap.

Then the toddler walked in,
in his maiden few steps,
with shimmer in his eyes,
and she reached his hands,
kneaded him to mirthful land.

There he dallied under blue skies,
opening many senses towards life.
In one frame,
he carved sand castles,
while in other
followed butterflies.
And when daylight
eluded with time,
sittiing by window sil,
counted starlets by night.

Snared by curiosity,
journeyed distant lands.
abandoning the warm cuddle,
he drifted with the shoals
and flew to compass acmes of life.

There he grasped many rudiments,
and many companions for life,
learned some eruditeness,
and many vices with time.

Now,
with each passing moment,
a bedlam of thoughts
rebelled existence of my life
feeling the nimbleness of mind.

And again,
envsioned a blurred dame,
smiling with gleam in her eyes.
While he toiled in his barn,
amidst seared sun to conjure fate.

With time,
visions precipitated,
and qualms superseded my mind.
Many fervors ruptured,
but reflexes were futile.

At the cross roads,
even he lamented
and then japed,
mocking his fate.

And with deceasing time,
hostility twitched my mind,
darkness prolonged the sight.
Even tried inching
towards the shadow
scrambled, eventually in vain.

For hours,fear subdued my mind
Sitting in the quintessential corner,abruptly,
I witnessed a halo of Divinity,
embracing HIS destined child.

In the gloomy corner,
remembering genesis of my life,
benumbed,
I waited,
whispering to HIM,
and reposed myself in tranquility.

To travel within words, always leaves me expectant and throughly excited to the point of maddness. I like the way you phrase your meaning with intimate stops, as if, taking a breath with words, a great read, well done.

Quite a journey you took me with you in this poem. I had to read a second time to enjoy each situation create by this poem.
"At the cross roads,
even he lamented
and then japed,
mocking his fate."
I enjoyed the complete poem. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
