This Emotion

Still in love..

What is this emotion?

My mind a commotion,

In my heart, a burning sensation:

Please give me a potion, for sedation….

………………………………………………………..

 

Is it called anger?

Wanting to bleed him with a dagger,

Make him feel a pain that would linger,

For: he swore he'd never leave, with his last finger.

 

Is it called sorrow?

Weighing me down every morrow,

With no more dreams to follow,

For: without him they are hollow.

 

Is it called depression?

Caused by my pain's oppression,

In losing him, my possession,

For: he was my obsession.

 

Is it called insanity?

Slipping away from humanity,

Betrayed by my affinity,

For: he pulled the strings of my sanity.

 

Is it called numbness?

From my life's emptiness,

Bred by his coldness,

For: he was my fullness.

Is it still called love?

Because all above:

I just can't forget him,

Every night I write of him…

 

 

 

Author's Note

First you feel anger, then sorrow. It's so depressing that you go crazy, and then you become numb. In the end you realize…… you are still in love...
