- From a Dreamer's Mindset

Hopes can be toxic to dreamers sometimes. It feels vulnerable; deciding to risk to invest all they ever wanted (which occurrence is only a possibility) in their future package.

Who said nights were for sleep?

- that's the time your thoughts

 are running through your head

and shaping your favorite

wonted labyrinth as they

bind end to end..

Once again, your losing eyes wander

as you imagine the transcendently 

vast and lustrous graveyard of stars..

which you observe solely till

you sleep your sadness away..

Swap to the mysteries of your future; 

your instantaneous runway..

Picture all the moments

you desperately dream of,

and frame them with

your decorated hopes..

Every ungranted wish is stashed

and inevitably will fall

back into your way..

All the answers to

what is and what was

will come rushing in

when you least expect it

 

And all the reasons why it's worth-while..

This is an amazing inspirational piece. You did a great job portraying how when we feel so anxious for something to happen, it never seems to happen. Life will always throw curve balls and blessings at you at the most unexpected times, and we eventually find out how everything happens for a reason.

So true....It seems as if an entire universe comes to life at night, and you captured this with your writing. This poem makes me think of a lyric in one of my songs "In the night all the answers they abound, and in the light there are no answers to be found" Night seems to be the time when the hopes and dreams that carry you through come to life. I love the line "till you sleep the sadness away" great write.

A very realistic write, everything we wish would happen might not happen at all, but sometimes what actually happens turns out being better that what you were originally wishing for. Or sometimes worse. Where you place your hope can be very dangerous, best to think it through than follow blindly.
