Ocean Wide

A kind of metaphor pertaining to a woman who recently entered and basically exited my life.

I was stranded in an ocean wide

Not knowing if I would live or die

I needed someone to throw me a rope 

I needed light in a life without hope

When you came along you were my island

I thought i'd never have to cry again

I walked up on to your shores

Where it felt safe and I was warm

At first I thought there may be dangers 

On this beautiful island I had found

Maybe I'd be better of if I'd drown

As time came and went by

I felt more relaxed in this paradise

Then one day the island  began to quake

Until the earth crumble and went away

Just that fast in the blink of an eye

I was cast back out in an ocean wide...
