A Poem by Natasha Reams

I see the words but do not comprehend,
My brain takes its time to understand,
And realize that this is an end,
To my now broken past.

Tears come freely as I silently pray,
To He who is always with me,
Yet despite my faith I say,
"Why did this happen to us?"

Of all the possible outcomes,
I expected this the least,
When by grief we were already overcome,
Our hearts are broken anew,

So now I must suffer,
And long for the days,
Before the loss of a brother,
And the remnants of broken vows.

Nicely done, dear poet. Is this poem from your own experiences, or did you place yourself in the situation of another person? I ask because this poem has the "feel" of an old soul's emotions.

Thank you for sharing and please share more verse, dear poet.

Hi, thanks for reading my stuff in advance. I LOVE wolves, and supernatural romances are my favorite books. I have two dogs (one of which is named Samwise Gamgee so I'm pretty nerdy) and I used to own.. more..
