This one reflects my opinion of the use of the word "edgy" in marketing

Dress a doll in black and red

  It's edgy, it's hip

Make a show about a pothead

  It's edgy, it's hip

Trivialize violence and sex

  It's edgy,it's hip

Cram movies full of special effects

  It's edgy, it's hip

Stay at home and read a book

  That's lame

Go out camping by the brook

  That's lame

Teach our kids to think critically

  That's lame

Get people informed politically

  That's lame

Buy a pair of expensive shades

  It's edgy, it's hip

Decorate your room with grenades

  It's edgy, it's hip

Use a lot of gangsta slang

  It's edgy, it's hip

Get a tattoo of the Yin&Yang

  It's edgy,it's hip

Let's make a film with depth and substance

  That's lame

Encourage kids to be good students

  That's lame

Criticize outdated gender roles

  That's lame

Make ghettos something other than hellholes

  That's lame

the only one i diagree with is the yin yang tatto one, tattoo's have different meanings to everyone, dont hate on tattoo's. lol, but i love this lol. and special effects do not take anything away from a movie!!! lolz, still great write!

It's incredibly ironic that jeans are advertised as an individualistic, rebelious piece of clothings while I'm the only person I know who doesn't wear them.
