pain, yet again you visit unannounced!
and, even though i totally detest you -
i just want to live in you for a while.
in my sloth, you keep me company,
un-judging, un-caring, un-deterred -
you linger despite my best effort.
reflecting on bitter-sweet memories,
you hold me honest to my humility -
not a pitiful victim nor a pitiless hero,
you open my eyes and inspire my spirit,
(to find lost love and re-belief in existence).
are you my friend or just heavens reminder?
