Eden of Me

Eden of Me

A Poem by ColseJ

As I first take a look, my first in forever

I see the wonders of the world, besides those of you and me.

I look from cloud to cloud, to tree to tree and stop and stare,

I look, I watch, and my eyes seem to fall upon the world like those of Adam.

I stop and stare at the beauty that surrounds, and I pause to listen to the blaring serene silence

As I stand, I take a breath and taste the crisp air and I turn around with the calming wind.

Feeling the warming cool rise up my body, I get a sense of impenetrable calm

Nothing shall hurt me, this is all me.

I stop, I stare, and wish to stay, to never leave, but I know I must turn my back on the Eden of me.

So with each step I take with dread, my soul, my heart my being saddens and droops

I long to stay there forever, but I know that it must not be

So as I walk with my back facing my eternal paradise, I whisper a silent promise that rings out clear, I will be back.

this is nice... to stay and play in our own eden... to know we are already there and yet still we refuse to stay and play ... I guess we all still have much to learn ... you paint a lovely picture of peace and serenity .. a place just perfect for a picnic with the universe ... well done xx
