High School Crush

High School Crush

A Poem by Brie
"

I recently discovered I had a crush. This is how I feel about him.

"
If I look at you,
my heart flutters.
If someone irrelevant mentions your name,
I blush.
If you say a word in my direction,
I am speechless.
Your eyes are so unique,
they're silver
with flecks of blue and gold.
Not even the most expensive gem
can replicate the rareness and natural beauty
of your eyes.
Your smile reminds me
of the pale sunshine
on a snowy winter day.
The warm glow shines
despite the coldness around you.
Your heart shaped lips
in which make you sweet and approachable
are the same lips that
make me fear what could come out of them.
Your soft skin,
with natural imperfections
somehow add to your beauty.
Your sense of humor,
in which I pretend like I hate,
makes me smile crazily as my heart melts inside me.
Your childlike habits
and silly sophistication
makes you my ideal man.
I don't know what it is,
but you have something about you
that pulls me in.
Your natural charm
your maturity,
tied in with your childlike beauty,
is God-given.
I am pained to know
that I may never have a chance with you.
You are my ideal.
You are my inspiration.
You are my role model.
I just hate knowing
that you could never possibly thing of me as anything
but the girl who sits next to you.

This is an incredibly honest and beautiful poem that flows effortlessly, showing that it is as real as you. Great work.
