Shining a light of humanity & kindness

Tenderness and kindness

cost nothing.

Open your heart and soul up.

And give a little of yourself

towards others.

That is strangers

and lost or lonely people

in this massive world.

Give a little sunshine

and goodness from you

towards them.

And make others feel cared

for and acknowledged.

IN this bitter and sad world

that is earth at times.

Help them feel a warmth,

and more so goodwill.

And in return you know

you have done something

great for someone else.

Because they matter a whole

the lot,  on this planet called earth.

Even a little smile, goes a long

way. Or even a hello. To someone

standing at the bus stop. Maybe

you are the only person. They have

spoken to in days.

And shining a light of humanity

to them.

I often smile and say hello or good morning to people as I pass by and they look at me as though I'm alien at first but I almost always get a smile back. And it feels good right? To be kind and receive kindness.
Doesn't cost a darned thing, as you say. I applaud the message in your lovely poem.
