Ho Ho Ho..reality of life.

Ho Ho Ho..reality of life.

A Story by Onlyme

Ho Ho Ho and a Merry Christmas
to you. Oh well  the 24th Dec 2018
is sure a  great day, for an MRI scan
to see if your cancer free or not.

Wait another few more weeks, from then
to find out the verdict.  Great barrels of fun
in store for all. Ho Ho Ho. Well us actually,
more so him.

Life really is a b***h,  fully of supizes
not always nice ones, at that.

Living on an edge,  of a big massive drop,
sure gets the adrenaline raging,
and pumping  around your organs.

Shitting bricks, the size of Alaska.
Is always the way to go. Anxiety
running riot. I sure do feel ill myself
now.

Nothing but, brave mask on, and direct
ahead, full steam, this wreck,  is not stopping.

Forget prayers, hail Mary's, and all that crap.
What will be,  will be. Grim reaper or a bit
more life?. Harsh realities of life and so called
living on.

Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of wine, to hide my
emotions inside not.

Such a tragic impact in your diction, but great expression with your carefully chosen words and your descriptive phrases that add a guttural effect to the entire poem, a raw and exposed commentary on the angst, anger, and disappointment inherent in such a brutal set of circumstances. "Forget prayers, hail Mary's and all that crap. What will be, will be. Grim reaper or a bit more life?" Such acceptance in the face of such adversity.

All the best,

Lanny

"What will be, will be"...I remember that well. A wonderful attitude and valiant sharing. Though only wine? At this point I would have dove into the well of whiskey and lasagna while setting the Christmas tree ablaze..perhaps only me. Smiles for the sharing and ..and ...well "More". By the way I've been to Alaska and I'm thinking you probably don't want the bricks to be actually quite that big ...maybe Texas. lol.
