Is it really worth it?

Is it really worth it trying

getting your pound of flesh

on someone who has done you wrong?

Or should you just have

learnt from the upset and drama

of what they did and basically

move on from it?

Most people would say. Move on.

And learn from it. Like I would

say too.

But you get the odd person.

Who just insists on that bad

person who did them wrong,

getting their comeuppance.

And it ends up being their

mission.

To sort them out.

To me, I find that so sad.

As all they are doing is

wasting energy, time and

 effort on someone

 that is not even worth the

trouble.

Each to the own.

I guess.

But life is passing

 by quickly

and will be gone

one day.

And they will be saying

to themselves

on their death bed.

Where did my time and life go?

Basically chasing after a ghost that

hurt you. A long time ago.

God would tell them.

I dont set out with that in mind

Like the university lecturer who said I was to old to begin studying again _ he had some very intelligent friends who had attempted to return to the books at my age and they failed

Aftr the exams he came and asked in haughty voice "Well how did you get on with your studies then did you pass?

I was pleased to be able to say "Yes Dr D; I got distinctions in all subjects"

I worked as a technician > He was one of those "People like you should know their place"
Some year later we bought some supplies from a firm near by > The manager knew Dr D so I said can you pass a message to him >> I got my BA Hond dgree and I am now retried - I was senior lecturer in Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control >> he never made it above lecturer

I think it's always healthy to think of getting your own back.
You know, like bricking someone's door up. Sending parcels all week to their house.
Is that just me.
