Different times, different ways.

Admiration to couples that via

good times and bad

that stick together.

With or without children.

And last the test of time

until old age together.

In this modern age,

it's just short term relationship

that last a few years,

and have children

and then split and

then go.

Their own ways afterwards.

And the poor child/children

if lucky going between

two homes.

For visits and to see the other parent.

I think back to my parents.

Who stood together

no matter what.

Was thrown at them both.

Different times, different ways.

It certainly is true. The relationships these days seem to be so temporary. It is almost as though they are just matters of convenience. On the other hand, Millie and I will be celebrating our 57th this August. On the other hand, I honestly don't know how she has tolerated me this long. Lucky me.

yes, different times...and quite sad...commitment just doesn't last...
my folks were married 70 years....these days 7 years is an eon for marriages to last.
