So Let Him

So Let Him

A Poem by Hannah Erickson

"

So be his devoted little spouse-

A part of him beyond all recognition.

So forget about your flesh and blood-

The "weird one"- formerly "loved".

So take his word over your own,

Lose your sense of identity- moribund.

So let him mold you, shape you, control you.

Become his eternal little slave doll.

So let him form all of your opinions

So long as they match his own.

So let him steer your emotions-

Violently tugging "gently" at your reigns.

So let him convince you that it's love.

Your god forbids you to convince yourself.

About
This is the only place where my writing from high school still exists. A lot of it is embarrassing to adult me, but I'm not going to begrudge teenage me of her thoughts and feelings. I may add som.. more..
